Thank you so much for your interest in submitting content to John Gray Events. Before you submit your gorgeous weddings and inspiration shoots, we ask that you read the following guidelines. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
Requirements
To be considered for publication, your submission should include approximately 40-100 individual images, no less than 1200 pixels in width. High resolution images are accepted and preferred. Images should not have frames, borders, or watermarks. If you are not the photographer of the event, please obtain permission from the photographer prior to submission.
When submitting to John Gray Events, please keep in mind we adore classic, elegant, timeless events and photography.
Please note that John Gray Events asks for online exclusivity and we regret that we cannot publish weddings that have appeared on other wedding blogs. However, we happily feature weddings that have appeared in print publications.
Real Weddings
Our favorite weddings are those that are unique and personal to the couple, and incorporate imaginative wedding details.
Real Weddings submissions must include an email address for the couple, so that we may send them our questionnaire. If no email address is available or if we are unable to reach the couple, please be prepared to provide vendor credits on their behalf.
Each submission should include a balance of portraits, ceremony, reception, and detail shots so that we can provide a complete overview of the day.
For cinematographers: please note that we accept videography and cinematic trailers only as part of a complete real wedding submission which includes imagery. We adore showcasing wedding cinema and encourage couples to submit their trailer in our vendor information questionnaire.
Inspiration Shoots
Please include names and websites of all participating vendors, as well as the location of the session or shoot. Let us know a little bit about the inspiration behind your design as well!
If your shoot includes any handmade elements, we’d love for you to share a step-by-step tutorial of how to complete the project, as well as a source list for products used. We’re also happy to share accompanying printable files as downloadable links, with or without branding.
Portrait Shoots
Although our focus is on Real Weddings and Inspiration Shoots, we do feature—very selectively—stylish and imaginative engagement sessions and bridal portraits on John Gray Events. If you have a shoot that fits the bill, please share no more than 40 images with us, as well as a bit of background about the couple. Submissions should include a list of vendors involved and their websites. Note that we do not feature anniversary, trash the dress, or other types of portrait sessions.
